Due to some internet problems, this is a Thursdays with Dorie post but better late than never. I really love lemon in desserts so I knew I was going to like this recipe but it was even better than I thought it was going to be. The madeleines were very light and delicious and with the glaze they were really outstanding. I’ve made madeleines before but this is my favorite version that I’ve tried by far. Here are a couple of photos of the work in progress.
Once again, a really easy recipe that’s delicious. Love this book! 🙂
that glaze looks really tasty!

It was really good! I’ve never heard of putting it into a 500 degree oven to finish it but it worked great 🙂

I like the look of your glaze – nice and thick. Mine pretty much soaked into the cake. Still tasty though.

It really is. I’m glad I’m part of the group because I never would have tried the grapefruit tart otherwise and I absolutely loved it. These madeleines were delicious – want to try the chocolate and vanilla ones soon too.

They are simply outstanding. VERY, very light and fluffy, and the glaze is not cloying or too tart. I wolfed them down. 🙂
